Materials:
- Picture frame
- Decorations of choice for underneath the frame glass
- Painting supplies (if you're going to paint the frame)
- Drill
- Pair of drawer pulls with appropriate screws
Picture frame before it's makeover First, I decided to paint the frame an ivory color and then distressed the corners and edges using a sandpaper sponge. |
Next, I used my new Silhouette for the very first time!!
My first try didn't work out so well, but I got it on my second! So fun!!
Then, it was time to get the drill and put those handles on!
Aren't these great! I found them at Target, 2 for $16! |
Enter wonderful husband! I needed his help to get these handles on, and he's much better with a drill than me!
And here's the finished project!!
Love this quote Amy has on her blog:“The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.” -Maya Angelou |
So, what do you think? Has this been added to your "to try" list?
I'm linking this up with WhisperWood Cottage's 1st Project of the Year Party!

ReplyDeleteI loved tray/frame, so I created one for my friend, she has a new baby on the way and decorated the room with Dr Suess theme. I painted a picture on canvas of 1 fish, 2 fish, red fish, blue fish and added the handles. It turned out great. Thanks for the idea!
